To participate in the WBC 2026 Official Resale, the most important first step is to register for a Tixplus (Plus Member ID).

Tixplus is the official platform for ticket resale. Whether you want to sell or buy tickets, you must have this ID. To ensure accuracy as the site updates, we recommend visiting the Tixplus Official Website directly to start your registration.

Note: This information is specifically for the Pool C (Tokyo) resale.

Preparation

  1. Email Address: For verification.
  2. Smartphone: Required for the app.
  3. Passport Info: Recommended for name consistency.

Tixplus Registration Steps

Step 0: Phone Verification Note

One of the biggest concerns for international fans is the phone verification. Good news: it works for international numbers!

Step 1: Visit the Registration Page

Go to the Tixplus Official Website and look for the registration entry (look for 「ログイン」 / Login or 「新規登録」 / New Registration). Enter your email address to begin.

Step 3: Fill in Personal Information

Be careful with the name and address formats required by Japanese websites:

  • Name (氏名): Enter your name exactly as it appears on your passport (in English).
  • セイ (Last Name) / メイ (First Name): These fields require your name in Japanese Katakana (Furigana).
    • Important Note: These two fields must be filled in "Full-width Katakana."
    • Pro Tip: While it's standard to convert your name to Katakana, sometimes the system might reject a direct conversion.
    • Recommended Approach: First, try entering your name in ALL-CAPS Romanji (English letters). If the system doesn't accept it, then use a Katakana conversion.
    • Recommended Tool: If you're unsure how to convert your name to Katakana or Romaji, check out my Chinese Name to Katakana Tool. It can help you find the right characters quickly.
  • Country: Select your current country of residence.
  • Address: Based on our tests, you should enter your address in English. While we used a Japanese friend's address for testing, entering your own international address in English is likely supported. You can use online tools for address translation if needed.
  • Phone Number: You can select your country's code (e.g., +886 for Taiwan) and enter your mobile number. No SMS verification is required at this initial stage, so you can fill it out with confidence.

Step 4: Final Confirmation

Review the summary of your information. If everything looks correct, click the "Register" (登録) button to submit.

Step 5: Registration Complete

Step 6: App Login & SMS Verification

Once registered, download and log in to the 「Tixplus e-tickets」 (チケプラ電子チケット) app.

After logging in, when you try to view your Tickets (チケット), the app will prompt you for phone verification.

Real-world Tested Tip: Even though it's a Japanese app, our tests show that you CAN receive the SMS verification code on international mobile numbers (e.g., from Taiwan)! Once you complete this SMS verification, your app is fully ready for the resale opening on Feb 2nd.

Conclusion

The WBC 2026 resale mechanism is surprisingly friendly to international fans. As long as you have your Tixplus account ready, you can join the action even without a Japanese phone number. We recommend getting everything set up before the resale opens on Feb 2, 12:00 (JST).
