Today's Match Results
12:00 Taiwan 5–4 South Korea (10 Innings)
One of the most fierce rivalries in international baseball lived up to the hype. Team Taiwan entered the 9th inning trailing but managed to tie the game, sending it to the "Tie-breaker" extra innings. In the top of the 10th, Taiwan's offense capitalized on a key sacrifice fly and an RBI single to take the lead. They held off South Korea in the bottom half to finish 5-4. Taiwan completes their pool play stage with a 2-2 record.
19:00 Australia 3–4 Japan
Samurai Japan faced a resilient Australian squad in the evening. MLB starter Yusei Kikuchi delivered a solid performance over 6 innings, but Australia's power hitters kept it close throughout. Japan eventually scored the go-ahead run in the late innings and closed the door for a 4-3 victory. Japan moves to 3-0 in Pool C, virtually guaranteeing them a spot in Miami.
